About Mefford Jewelers

A member of my family has worked in a jewelry store, in downtown Florence, since 1911. My grandparents, Pete and Julia Mefford, opened our first store on Seminary street in 1945. The business moved to 111 East Tennessee street and in 1980 my father, O. T. Mefford, moved us into our current location at 102 North Court Street. My wife Allison and I are honored to carry on a tradition of fine jewelry and good conversation started by Pete and Julia over 71 years ago.
